India-Bala & Priscilla (EYL)

November 23, 2013

As we close out 2012 we want to thank you for your faithfulness to this ministry; a commitment that is clear through your prayers and financial support.

We prepare for 2013 with anticipation, knowing that God has a plan for this ministry to continue touching lives with the hope of Christ; to continue changing hearts—and to continue saving lives in the process. We started EYL we back 1998,14 years have gone by including India many other nations the Lord opened for EYL mission.

In essence, Emerging Young Leaders is here to train and mentor next generation of leaders in home, schools, colleges, churches and poor and marginalize section of the society. We’re together in a powerful endeavor. Ours is a great calling, to be sure. In today’s world defending the lives of young leaders with love and conviction and mentoring them —quite honestly— is difficult. But we’re in this together. God has placed us in this moment not to decry this calling as a burden, but to take it on as the clarion challenge of our generation—and to succeed in truly turning our culture toward life.

So—despite the challenges—our plan is to continue moving forward as a ministry. We’re reminded that we always advance with wisdom; yet when it comes to matters of life, there is no room for retreat.

Of course at year-end, your special gift will give us a significant boost as we close out the year and set our course for 2013. If this is possible for you, we would appreciate you remembering EYL ministry. If you are giving monthly, perhaps you will consider a “13th Gift” at this time, matching your regular investments in this ministry with an extra gift. Or if you give at other intervals, you may want to join many others who are planning to match a major gift from the last 12 months as we enter the Christmas season.

Every gift is appreciated, and every gift makes a difference.

With Christmas upon us, there is so much to be thankful for. We’re thankful for you and your heart for this ministry. It is—to be sure—an encouragement.
Thank you for taking a moment to read this letter. In the days ahead I look forward to sharing with you how through your gifts we are truly touching hearts, saving lives—mentoring next generation of leaders.

Sincerely,
Samuel Balachander

It was held at St. Britt higher sec. school. This is the first time these group of young leaders had an opportunity to go through EYL training & at the end of the training when an alter call was given many young people invited the Lord Jesus in their lives. Pray for them to grow in the Lord even as our staff conduct regular mentoring session. EYL  Teens Summer Camp:
A Teens Camp for thirty boys and girls was held at the Emerging Young Leaders India National headquarters between May 8-10, 2012. The theme for the camp was “Know What You Believe”. The 30 teenagers who made the choice to come to the camp were blessed over 3 days. They were taught by resource personnel on a wide range of topics. Every morning a Bible Study was conducted so that the participants began their day with the Word of God. On the first day there was a movie shown to the participants which showed how they can do anything they want to in their lives but if they don’t have Jesus it doesn’t count for anything. Sessions were also conducted on topics like Leadership and Media. Every evening there was a Challenge Hour conducted in which the Gospel was shared. Food and accommodation was provided to the participants and they were blessed by the camp. Mrs. Priscilla Balachander conducted the last session of the camp on the topic ‘Leading and Balanced Life’. The participants were shown how their life is like a wheel and that their Spiritual Life should be the spokes on which the rest of their lives revolve.  Aaron Balachander also gave an Altar Call to the participants and many of them gave their lives to Jesus during the last session and vowed to seek him in everything that they do.

November 15, 2011 – End of Year Appeal Letter

Dear Prayer partners,

As we close out 2011 we want to thank you for your faithfulness to this ministry; a commitment that is clear through your financial support. We prepare for 2012 with anticipation, knowing that God has a plan for this ministry to continue touching young lives with the hope of Christ; to continue changing hearts—and to continue saving lives in the process.

We’re together in a powerful endeavor. Ours is a great calling,as you well know. In today’s political, economical and social climate, defending the lives of young leaders with love and conviction is—quite honestly—difficult. But we’re in this together. God has placed us in this moment not to decry this calling as a burden, but to take it on as the clarion challenge of our generation—and to succeed in truly turning our culture toward life.

I am convinced that we can do this through intercessory PRAYER for 40 day`s there is no short cut! Starting with 2012 EYL would like to mobilize people all over the world to pray for young leaders in home, schools, colleges, churches, marketplace and also poor & marginalize section of the society.

Of course at year-end, your special gift will give us a significant boost as we close out the year and set our course for 2012. If this is possible for you, we would appreciate your remembering Emerging Young Leaders International. If you are giving monthly, perhaps you will consider a “13th Gift” at this time, matching your regular investments in this ministry with an extra gift. It is—to be sure—an encouragement.Thank you for taking a moment to read this letter. In the days ahead I look forward to sharing with you how through your gifts we are truly touching hearts, saving lives—and in our corner of the world—creating a culture of life in this world.

September, 2011 – EYL Newsletter Update

August 18, 2011 – Thank you for your prayers

We just came back from Madurai city ( known as the temple city of India) every place we went we saw only idols small temples and I was grieved to know the darkness as we move around the city the spirit of the Lord reminded me that multitude of people are standing in the valley of decision. Please pray for Madurai city to turn to the Living God and many names will be written in the book of life. Amen!

But Praise God we could train more than 100 pastors and leaders in the area of spiritual investment in the lives of others. Aaron took a session on importance of mentoring, the different between evangelism & discipleship and mentoring. And he also challenged the pastors and leaders with out giving any excuse & wasting any more time to invest in the lives of young leaders they are our future leaders, in our family, church and nation. Priscilla`s session on Parents mentoring kids in the modern world & How to connect with IY generation was very much appreciated. Many parents were in tears and said,” As a parents we try to control our children`s and discipline them but that did`t work thank you for teaching us today first to connect with kids”

We plan to meet the same group of leaders after six months so that we can help them to go through this difficult journey of mentoring with their kids/young leaders in the community and churches.

Thank you once again but for your faithful prayers and sacrificial support this mission would not have been possible in India. Please check out all the photo`s in our face book.

With Blessings,
Bala & Priscilla

Plan to do systematic followup & challenge them take the ownership and support the local work.

Pray also for the Tamil ministry plan in Singapore/ Malaysia next month. Priscilla came back from Calcutta where she had a fruitful ministry with Bengali girls most of them from other faiths. Thanks for your prayers, Mark decided to work with Amazon.com here in India before proceed for MBA program on marketing. Aaron is final year M div. plus he is helping EYL training to teach/preach.
